We
believe that El Crucero Hotel in Tulum, offers the best combination of
convenience, economy, comfort and accessibility to make your experience
in Tulum more satisfying and enjoyable. While we may not be exactly on
the amazing Tulum beaches, our hotel offers certain advantages over the higher priced and less comfortable beach cabanas or the weary traveler hostel. The beach is a quick 10 minute walk, and the ruins 5 minutes. You are here.
-
Comfort:
All of our mattresses and bedding are all new. Our rooms are clean
and have private bathrooms. Optional air conditioning, fans and mosquito
netting on all the windows makes for a good night's sleep, even in
the summer
-
Hygiene
and Cleanliness: Our rooms are cleaned daily, the toilets in
the private bathrooms all flush, we provide clean sheets and towels,
toilet paper, soap and everything you need to look and feel your
best.
-
Economy:
you may be able to find a cheaper place to sling your hammock, but
when you factor in the cost of transportation (45 pesos to and from
the beach) and drinking water (they charge 15 pesos a liter, ours
is free), El Crucero comes out on top.
-
Hot
Water: We have it. Try finding a hot shower for 100 pesos a night
anywhere else.
-
Security:
The doors lock securely and we have a night watchman to keep an
eye on your car and deter prowlers.
-
Power:
Many of the beach hotels run on gasoline generators and will shut
off electricity at some point or have none at all. This means no
fans or lights at night. El Crucero has power all the time, you
can even plug in your hair dryer if you want.
-
Internet
Access: Our internet cafe in the hotel bar has pretty reasonable
bandwidth, plus if you bring your laptop, you can hook into our wireless
hub from the bar (we provide wireless adaptors if you need them).
Talk about a nice telecommute! You should consider quitting your job
and staying in tulum for a while.
-
Accessibility:
We are located just off the road to Playa del Carmen and Cancun. Buses
and collective taxis leave regularly from the bus station adjacent
to the hotel. Though we are only a 10 minute walk to the beach, taxis
to the town of Tulum cost just 25 pesos instead of 45 pesos from the
beach cabañas . If you want to make the most of your vacation
in the Mayan Riviera by taking day trips to the area's reefs, cenotes,
nature reserves, and archaeological sites, El Crucero Hotel is the
spot for you.
-
No
sand in your sheets. 'nuff said.
